City Palace
City Palace towers over the Pichola Lake. 
Maharana Uday Singh initiated in the construction of the palace but succeeding Maharanas added several palaces and structures to the complex to the design. 
The entry to the Palace is from the Hati Pol, the Elephant gate. 
It was once a custom that the Maharana would weigh under this gate in gold and silver color.


Lake Palace
The Lake Palace is one of the most beautiful palaces in the india. It was formerly known as Jag Niwas.
At present, it is a luxury hotel of 83 rooms, located on a natural foundation of 4 acres rock on the Jag Niwas Island in Lake Pichola, Udaipur.
The Lake palace was built in the 17th century on a natural foundation Udaipur.
Bhagwat Singh decided to convert the Jag Niwas Palace into Udaipur’s first luxury hotel. Didi Contractor, an American artist, became a design consultant to this hotel project. Didi’s accounts gives an insight to the life and responsibility of the new maharana of Udaipur.

Kumbhalgarh Fort
Kumbhalgarh is the  most important fort after Chittorgarh in the Mewar region. 

It also served the rulers of Mewar as a refuge in times of strife. 
The Kumbhalgarh fort  served as refuge to the baby king Udai of Mewar.
Kumbhalgarh Fort was built by Maharana Rana Kumbha in the 15th century. The fort derived its name from the same factor.
The Fort is also known for its famous palace that resides on the top of structure.
